Fastrack Training, Inc. is dedicated to providing the best, practical, affordable training for our clients.
Kay Novello, Founder
Kay started the company in 1991, presenting computer classes for large companies like IBM and American Airlines, as well as many smaller companies. Her training has progressed from the highly technical skills to interpersonal skills such as presentation skills, management (at all levels), time management, train-the-trainer, teamwork, and performance counseling. In addition to overseeing the business, she designed, developed and conducted professional development classes.
Kay’s passed away in March, 2014 and the business is now being run by her husband, Bob Novello.
Bob Novello, President
In addition to Bob's primary focus of building client relationships, he also designs, develops and conducts professional development classes, and provides consulting and facilitation services. He retired from the University of Texas at Austin in March, 2010 where he was the Director of the Professional Development Center (PDC) from its inception in 1998.
During his career with UT, Bob more than doubled the client base and resulting revenue; developed and conducted professional development training classes; developed and conducted Malcolm Baldrige Criteria-based classes for the UT Center for Performance Excellence (UTCPE); and developed and conducted safety classes for the Texas Mine Safety and Health Program. As Director of the PDC, he developed and implemented strategic plans, controlled a $3M budget, managed a staff of twenty-five employees, and managed the business.
Prior to joining UT, Bob’s career with Sun Oil Company provided him the opportunity to manage technical teams; manage projects; manage a systems development group; manage a marketing function; and conduct management, leadership, and project management training.
Training experience includes developing and/or conducting project management, people management, coaching, performance counseling, continuous improvement, process mapping, problem-solving, effective presentations, train-the-trainer, teamwork, and safety seminars. His extensive knowledge and understanding of project management and business processes makes Bob’s business consulting and facilitation services quite popular with clients.
Formal education includes a BS in Physics from St. Joseph's University (Philadelphia), graduate studies in Mathematics at Ohio State University, and MBA studies at the University of Dallas.
His excellent interpersonal and communication skills enable him to work effectively with all people, from the line employee to the executive manager.
